Abrogation

The Bible and Torah is basically a bunch of stories from which the adherents get their moral cues; It’s interpretative in nature. The bottom line of these moral tales is the teaching of how to live righteous and peaceful lives. Many of these stories are violent as grand sweeping stores are. But these violent passages are stories not commandments. As for actual commandments from god, there is only one instance. 10 rules to live by; I’m sure you’re familiar with them. The Christian / Jewish God frowns on lying cheating stealing adultery and murder etc. You will notice that there are no caveats on these commandments regarding the victim. Those tablets Moses hauled down don’t say; thou shalt not kill, except for infidels.
The Koran on the other hand is all commandments in nature.
Mohamed would go off, have visions and come back with self-serving commandments for whatever was going on in Mohamed’s life at the time.
It became apparent that Allah was capricious, self-contradicting in his commandments. So Mohamed went off popped some more of those magic camel turds and come back with this one:

Surah 2:106:
None of Our revelations do we abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things?

So Mohamed said; pay no attention to the fact that this God I talk to contradicts himself, just know that whatever I said last is the one that counts. Hey, it’s God, so shut up.
So all those revelations from Allah that apologists like to cite as proof that Islam is a peaceful religion have been abrogated by later revelations of hate. This is a key element in Islamic doctrine.

Old: (Sura 2.256)
"Let there be no compulsion in religion; truth stands out clear from error"
Replaced with: Sura 9.29
"Fight those who believe not in Allah and the Last Day and do not forbid what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden -- such men as practice not the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book [i.e. Jews and Christians] -- until they pay the tribute out of hand and have been humbled."

In fact Sura 9 is the last chapter written, so anything that was earlier peaceful stuff that contradicts Sura 9 no longer counts. What’s in #9?


Sura 9.73
"Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites, and deal harshly with them. Hell shall be their home: an evil fate."

Sura 9.123
"O believers, fight the unbelievers who are near to you, and let them find in you a harshness, and know that Allah is with the godfearing."

Sura 9.05
Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the infidels wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

Convert or die.
